Thought for the Day: God’s Grace

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

posted by Kent Goodwin

I recently came across a very powerful section in my latest class.  It has to do with the seven fundamental aspects of the Grace of God.  I will begin posting on these Monday, but for now, I wanted to leave you with the following which comes from the fifth fundamental aspect:

Grace does not involve God treating a person as he deserves, nor is it God treating a person better than he deserves.  God’s Grace is instead an infinite love expressing itself in infinite goodness, which has nothing to do with what we do or don’t deserve.

(These ideas are expressed in the book, “Grace”, by Lewis Sperry Chafer.)
